National Cereal Festival 2026

🥣  The National Cereal Festival returns Saturday, June 13, 2026! 🥣 

If you are unfamiliar, this signature festival highlights Battle Creek’s heritage as the birthplace of the cereal industry and is a tradition that has drawn people far and wide for over 50 years.

The Cereal Festival will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, on McCamly St. starting at Michigan to Hamblin Ave., from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.  Festival activities include live music, exotic animal shows, games, competitions, vendors, children’s activities and more. The vendors will operate from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. The event is held rain or shine!

The National Cereal Festival is FREE and open to the public!

Start the festivities with the National Cereal Parade at 6:30pm on Friday! Parade begins and ends at the Kool Center.

Food Prize 2026

Food Prize 2026 is a regional food business competition and industry convening designed to support new and existing food entrepreneurs across Michigan.
The event combines a pitch competition, food product showcase, and educational summit, bringing together food business owners, support organizations, funders, and industry partners.
Food Prize is free for spectators! Head down from 12pm-4pm and try food items from competitors.

Dash through the snow in a one horse open sleigh around downtown Battle Creek. Rides are free of charge. Wagon rides will ONLY operate out of Festival Market Square. Click here to see the wagon ride route.

Rides will be available from 5-8 pm. Wagons can hold 12-14 people and will be running continuously every 25 minutes. Horse drawn wagon rides provided by Twinn Pines Carriages.

RON TAYLOR – Ron Taylor is a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor from Detroit, now based in Los Angeles. He was just cast as a series regular on Freeform’s comedy series, NONE OF THE ABOVE. In 2018, he was selected as a New Face at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, and in 2017, he performed at the festival as part of Kevin Hart’s talent showcase LOL LIVE. Ron has appeared on B.E.T’s “Apollo Live,” Fox TV’s “Laughs,” and various viral videos on the All Def-Digital network. He was chosen by Bill Burr to perform on Comedy Central’s stand-up series, The Ringers.Ron performs at festivals and clubs worldwide, including hosting Blake Griffin’s Charity Comedy Show in Los Angeles and Russell Westbrook’s Charity Comedy show in Oklahoma City. He’s a paid regular at the famous Comedy Store in Hollywood. Most recently, he appeared in the FX series “Oh Jerome, No,” directed by Alex Karpovsky, and will feature in Yassir Lester’s upcoming film THE GUTTER.

BLAIN HILL – Blain Hill is a comedian, writer, and podcaster from Detroit, Michigan. A mainstay of the Detroit comedy scene for more than a decade, Blain has entertained audiences all across the country with his sharp, original writing and deadpan delivery. Blain is a regular performer at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle, the Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase, and The Detroit House Of Comedy and has shared the stage with greats like Barry Crimmins, Jimmy Pardo, and Sam Morril.

KEVIN JOHNSON – Kevin Johnson is a native Detroiter who uses his urban upbringing to express his unique prospective on the world and everything in it. For the last 11 years he has enjoyed traveling coast to coast spreading smiles to audiences. From dating to work life he finds a hilarious way to tell stories using wit and physical comedy. Whether right or wrong he will entertain you with his views…just one man’s opinion.

REE LEDBETTER – Comedian Ree Ledbetter has been entertaining audiences at venues across the Midwest and Canada, such as Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle, The Windsor Comedy Club, The Laugh Factory Chicago, and every dive bar in between. With her unique life experiences, lighthearted self-deprecation, and likable energetic presence, she has become a fan favorite wherever she performs.

PATTY ROONEY – Patty Rooney is a Metro Detroit comedian, improviser, writer, and filmmaker. Her sketch comedy videos have been featured on WhoHaHa. When she’s not performing stand-up, she’s improvising with her troupe, Big Fun Social for their monthly sold-out show “Big Fun Murder” at Go Comedy. You can catch her doing standup around the Midwest, most recently at the Detroit Women of Comedy Festival.

AND, YOUR HOST, MIKE GEETER – Mike is a unique comedian who hails from Pontiac, MI. Despite being a dropout from an Ivy League, he is a proud graduate of a community college. His humor is an insightful take on current events, family, and relationships. Growing up in a family with 17 siblings and being a father himself, Mike’s comedy is a blend of sharp wit and a smooth delivery. He has performed at some of the most prestigious comedy venues in the U.S. and Canada and has had the opportunity to work with Kevin Hart, Tom Papa, Maria Bamford, Hannibal Burress, Natasha Leggero, Jim Norton, and Rickey Smiley, among others.

For more than a dozen years, Mike has been a versatile artist who has been featured on Fox Television and Hulu’s comedy showcase “Laughs,” and on the Detroit episode of “Kevin Hart Presents: Hart Of The City 2” on Comedy Central. He has also moderated and hosted at national conferences, played Santa in a national OnStar commercial, and portrayed a casino bartender in a regional commercial. Additionally, he delivered a TEDTalk in October 2022 and can now be heard on SiriusXM on Kevin Hart’s LOL Radio. Mike’s company, SamRose Entertainment, produces comedy events around Michigan, including the Traverse City Comedy Festival!
