Live music will be provided by Kanin Wren – The Taylor Swift Experience\, as well as Allie Garland and Sean Gibson. Live animal shows will be provided by Realm of the Reptile\, along with inflatables from Kirk’s Jump N Fun Rentals. We will also have yard games\, children’s activities\, arts and crafts\, and of course FREE cereal for all! The event will be outdoors\, navigating the central square streets of Downtown Battle Creek.\n\nDowntown Battle Creek\, June 8\, 2024\, 8am-12pm\, FREE Community Event!

DESCRIPTION:National Cereal Festival 2020 updated information \nBATTLE CREEK\, MI – For years\, National Cereal Festival has taken place in the heart of downtown Battle Creek. This signature festival highlights Battle Creek’s heritage as the birthplace of the cereal industry and is a tradition that draws people from far and wide. In these unprecedented times\, it is with heavy hearts\, the joint decision has been made by the National Cereal Festival Committee and CCDC to cancel National Cereal Festival 2020 scheduled for June 13\, 2020.\nThe safety and health of the Battle Creek community\, out of town guests\, staff\, volunteers and entertainers are our top priority. Just like every other summer festival\, we are following federal\, state and city guidelines and are unable to be fully confident that it will be safe to gather in June of 2020.\nIn lieu of serving thousands of people free breakfast this June\, Kellogg Company and Post Consumers Brand have generously donated approximately 1\,500 boxes of cereal to the South Michigan Food Bank. Kellogg Company will also be making a monetary donation to the United Way of the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo Region. These donations will help immensely with increased need to help families during the Covid-19 pandemic.\n“We are truly disappointed that we are unable to host the festival this year. It is a great kickoff to the summer season. Please stay safe and we look forward to seeing everyone for National Cereal Festival 2021!” said Ben Randels\, CCDC General Manager
